DENPASAR, OborDewata.com – Bali continues to be chosen as a tourist destination for Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025. This has led the Bali Transportation Department (Dishub) to predict a significant increase in the number of visitor arrivals, especially from Ngurah Rai International Airport and Gilimanuk Port.
Based on estimated incoming and outgoing data during the Nataru transportation period for 2024/2025 from Bali Transportation Department, the total number of passengers is expected to reach 2,794,977 people, with details of 1,512,337 passengers through Ngurah Rai International Airport, 1,187,054 passengers through Gilimanuk Port, and 95,585 passengers through Padangbai Port.

Bali Transportation Department will implement traffic engineering to prevent congestion in Bali during the Nataru holiday.
The Head of Traffic at Bali Transportation Department, I Putu Sutaryana, explained that the traffic engineering for Christmas and New Year at Ngurah Rai Airport will be directly carried out by Angkasa Pura and the Airport Authority.
“The traffic engineering plan created by Angkasa Pura and the Airport Authority at Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali is almost the same as the traffic engineering plan made by the Bali Provincial Transportation Department, in accordance with a joint meeting of Bali Transportation Department and the Airport Authority some time ago,” Sutaryana stated on Friday (12/6/2024).
This also includes the results of the meeting between Bali Transportation Department and the Bali Police, which will prepare traffic engineering related to Christmas and New Year readiness and deploy personnel to anticipate preparations for Christmas and New Year.
Potential congestion points predicted by Bali Transportation Department include the Ngurah Rai Bypass Road in front of the Krisna Souvenir Center, as well as The Keranjang Souvenir Shop and the Satria Gatot Kaca Statue in Tuban, Kuta.
“There, it will be closely monitored by the police and assisted by other stakeholders. Regarding the entry points, at least 25 meters have been noted. Whenever needed, the police force of approximately 16 personnel is ready to assist,” he concluded. ri/nda/sathya
