DENPASAR, OborDewata.com – Bali’s consistent commitment to promoting a culture of road safety has once again yielded a prestigious national accolade. SMAN Bali Mandara has been officially named the “1st Best Assisted Partner School” at the Astra Honda Safety Riding Lab for the 2025 – 2026 period.
The prestigious award was achieved following a rigorous evaluation process and the school’s participation in the 2026 Safety Riding Camp (SRC). Organized by the Astra Honda Motor Foundation (AHM Foundation), the camp took place from July 7 – 9, 2026, at the Astra Honda Motor Safety Riding & Training Center in Deltamas, Bekasi.
The 2026 SRC program serves as a strategic learning space for Road Safety Ambassadors to strengthen their competencies, test their skills, and share field experiences. This year, 53 top road safety ambassadors from various regions across Indonesia gathered to sharpen their abilities in educating the public about the critical importance of road safety.
The regional selection process, which carried the theme “Keep The Good Vibes with #Cari_aman”, began in April 2026 and involved a total of 128 participants. From this pool, 53 finalists were selected to advance to the final stage in Deltamas. The finalists comprised 36 student and teacher ambassadors from six Astra Honda Safety Riding Labs (including SMAN Bali Mandara), nine university students from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and the University of Jember, and eight early childhood education teachers from Medan, Yogyakarta, and Karawang.
Chairman of the AHM Foundation, Ahmad Muhibbuddin, emphasized that the true essence of the program lies in its real-world impact.
”Every road safety ambassador acts as a change agent in their respective environments. Therefore, we continuously enhance their competencies so they can reach a wider audience, both through direct engagement and digital platforms. We embody the spirit of ‘Sinergi Bagi Negeri’ by delivering safety education through accessible and easy-to-understand methods, ensuring tangible benefits for the community,” Muhib said.
Muhib added that the success of the Safety Riding Camp is not measured by the number of winners crowned each year, but by how widely the public cares about and practices safe driving in their daily lives. During the three-day boot camp, participants were tested on theoretical knowledge, practical riding, hazard prediction techniques, Honda Riding Trainer simulations, educator communication skills, and first aid training. For early childhood education teachers, the learning method was uniquely tailored through storytelling to instill safety values from an early age.
This national milestone received high praise from regional management in Bali. Darma Wijaya, Region Head of Astra Motor Bali, expressed immense pride in the achievement.

We hope this milestone inspires more communities in Bali to become highly aware and practice safe driving. The 2026 Safety Riding Camp proves that our younger generation possesses the top-tier knowledge, skills, and competence required to champion road safety,” Darma Wijaya stated.
The road safety campaign continues to expand through AHM’s Sekolah Satu Hati network, which involved 43 high school students and teachers as a new generation of safety educators. Nationally, the concrete contributions of Astra Honda’s Road Safety Ambassadors have successfully educated over 11,857 people through face-to-face theoretical and practical training sessions.
Beyond physical spaces, the ambassadors have also been highly active digitally, producing more than 600 creative educational content pieces since 2025. This strategy has proven highly effective, generating over 519,819 total views demonstrating that road safety messages can be packaged in a fresh, creative manner that resonates with the lifestyle of today’s youth.
