DENPASAR, OborDewata.com – The body of Hyoeun Kim, a female victim of a fallen tree in Monkey Forest, has been taken to the Forensic Unit of Prof Ngoerah General Hospital for an external examination. Dr. Kunthi Yulianti, Head of Forensic Medicine and Body Care (IKFPJ) at RSUP Prof Dr. IGNG Ngoerah, stated that the body of Hyoeun Kim was brought to the hospital’s Forensic Installation on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

“Last night, December 10, 2024, at around 7:30 PM, we received a body with the note that it was a victim from Monkey Forest. The body was delivered by security personnel, reportedly a security officer from Monkey Forest. We have not received complete identification yet, but the initial information states that the deceased is a Korean citizen named Hyoeun Kim, a female,” Dr. Kunthi explained.

The Forensic Unit of RSUP Sanglah received only one victim of the fallen tree incident in Monkey Forest. When the body arrived, it was in a fresh condition and underwent an external examination.

“However, we cannot release the results of the external examination yet, as we are still coordinating with investigators. Once the investigation is complete, we can release the findings to the public. Releasing them now could disrupt the investigation process,” she elaborated.

Dr. Kunthi confirmed that the external examination had been conducted upon the body’s arrival at the Forensic Unit of Prof Ngoerah Hospital. After the examination, while waiting for the family, police, and consulate representatives, the body was placed in the mortuary freezer.

“There has been no decision regarding the evacuation of the body because we have not received any instructions or decisions from the family, consulate, or police. The process is ongoing, so we will wait for further instructions,” she concluded. ri/nda/sathya
